Sam Kanter, Owner / Operator

Sam Kanter, owner of Sam Kanter Events, Dinner at Mary's and High Road Experiences, has worked in the food industry since 2007, garnering extensive experience in operations, on-premise events and catering in the Boston restaurant scene. A Zagat 30 under 30 winner, Sam is known for pushing the envelope and creating unique experiences for her guests, with a focus on hospitality.

After partnering with over 50 restaurant venues throughout her career, Sam has shifted focus to controlling all aspects of service through catering and this new venue venture. Her comprehensive knowledge of food, beverage and service has prepared her to open an innovative, high quality, competitive establishment.

Sam received her yoga teaching certification in 2017, and practices daily. She has been hosting Canna Yoga events for about 2 years, hosting in the Boston / Camberville area as well as travelling throughout the state including Nantucket.

Cannabis is, and has been, an important aspect of Sam’s career, but wasn’t visible until she started Dinner at Mary’s in early 2019. With 6 years of business ownership already under her belt at the time [11 years to date], Sam had proven her legitimacy, which paved an easier road to the incorporation of cannabis into her work. As a unique and unexpected face of cannabis, Sam has proven that ambition, work ethic and business prowess can be embodied by a consistent cannabis user.

As cannabis has been such a benefit to Sam, the goal of Dinner at Mary’s and High Road is to bring cannabis to the people. When educated properly, even the novice can gently incorporate cannabis into their life for a truly positive impact.

Sam hopes the role of cannabis in mainstream culture can shift to its deserved position rivaling both alcohol and big pharma as a healthy, effective alternative.
